Parenting is the most important and difficult job in the world, and yet it is the job that we are least prepared for. There is no “diploma” in how to be a great mom or dad! For parents wanting to learn more about positive parenting skills and strategies, Brightpaths offers parenting classes and information to groups or individuals.
Classes are generally one night per week for six to ten weeks and offered in various locations. If you are interested in an upcoming parenting class, click here for more information.
Project F.R.E.E. for Families, a partnership with UGA, provides evidence-informed programs to improve couple and co-parenting functioning, increase economic stability, and create positive and stable homes. Brightpaths is offering the Elevate portion of the program – classes for couples, married or not.

Dads are important and bring something different to a child’s development. Our fatherhood groups are for dads only to share ideas and support each other. One of our dads wanted a place for just dads to connect and could not find anything in the area. Our fatherhood groups are virtual so it’s easy to join from the comfort of your couch. Fatherhood groups in Spanish are coming soon. Click here for more information.
If your group or organization wants someone from Brightpaths to speak at an upcoming meeting or training, please call our Executive Director, Sallie Starrett, at 706-255-2029 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
