- Family Support Specialist
40 hours/week, non-exempt position
The Family Support Specialist (FSS) is a passionate, dynamic person that can make a difference in the community by partnering with parents. Brightpaths serves Clarke, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Madison, Jackson, Barrow, and Walton counties. The Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular weekly, bi-monthly, monthly and quarterly home visits with families assigned to their caseload. Home Visits are held in the family’s home, lasting an average of one hour. The FSS’s role will be a supportive partner who facilitates a secure attachment relationship between parent and child and promotes early brain development and infant mental health. FSS will use intervention strategies that are strength-based, family centered and designed to establish a trusting relationship between FSS and parent(s). FSS will also assist families in enlarging their support system, connect them with other resources, increase their ability to problem-solve, and establish and accomplish short-term goals. The FSS reports to the Clinical Supervisor.

- Fundraising & Events Intern
10-15 hours/week, Spring OR Summer Semester (Schedule flexible to fit needs of internship class), remote options available
Are you great at casting vision or pitching an idea? Do you have excellent communication skills? Love event planning? If so, you might be perfect for our Fundraising & Events Internship! This intern reports to the Executive Director and helps plan our Fall Concert event, write and implement fundraising strategies, and assists with donor relation management. Applicants must demonstrate a strong work ethic, communication skills, and innovative thinking. Use your talents to positively impact children and families in your community!

- Social Media & Graphic Design Intern
10-15 hours/week, Spring OR Summer Semester (Schedule flexible to fit needs of internship class), remote options available.
Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or similar major preferred. Work samples required.
We needs your help! Are you gifted in graphic design? Social Media strategy and implementation? Marketing? Do you have a desire to see families strengthened and children live healthy childhoods? We’re looking for a motivated individual to help design, strategize, and implement an engaging social media campaign. This intern reports to the Executive Director and works closely with her to grow and engage our audience of families, community, and donors on social media.

- Program Intern
15-30 hours/week, Spring OR Summer (Schedule flexible to fit needs of internship class)
Human Development & Family Sciences, Social Work, or similar major preferred.
Our program interns work directly with our program staff and families to assist with parenting classes by providing child care, managing attendance, and staffing the event; conduct parent surveys; shadow home and hospital visits; manage family data; attend family recruitment fairs; and so much more. These interns must demonstrate empathy, compassion, people-skills, ability and willingness to travel within our 5 county service area.
